SGP: Sweden - Hampel makes Semi-Final

After the summer break in speedway and the success of Poland winning the SWC, it was back to the SGP series. This time Malilla, Sweden. It started positively for Hampel picking up 9 points from his first four rides and booking his place in the semi-final. It ended however when he finished 3rd in the semi behind Gollob and Crump. Rune Holta won the meeting. Hampel now has 102 points in the championship and is now 5 points behind new leader, Gollob. Next round, Croatia.

Vargarna - Vetlanda 46:49

Vetlanda had a great win at rivals Vargarna. It was a close match and Vargarna had the lead for the majority of the meeting. However, Vetlanda delivered the goods in the final heat to pick up the all important victory! It was a mixed night for Hampel, in the end scoring 7 plus 2 bonus points from 5 rides. Vetlanda are 2nd in the league.

Leszno - Gorzów 58:32

It was time for the top two teams in the Polish Extraliga to face each other and Leszno beat their biggest rivals! It was also an interesting clash between currently the top 2 riders in the SGP, Hampel and Gollob. Hampel and Gollob ended up 1-1 in their duels against each other. Gorzow were without the injured Nicki Pedersen. Leszno performed very well as a team, with 4 riders all socring double figures. Hampel ended with 12+1.

Polish Championship :Postponed

The individual final of the eagerly awaited Polish Final has had to be re-arranged. This was due to take place at Zielona Gora but unfortunately the heavy rain made it impossible, so the meeting has been rescheduled for September 18th.
