SWC: Poland through to the final!

Round 1 of the Speedway World Cup took place in sunny conditions and it was a big success for Poland! They blitzed the opposition and set a record for the most points scored in the event (68)! The Poles were in superb form, winning 19 of the 25 races. Hampel dropped just 1 point to Kenneth Bjerre and scored 14. Poland have now qualified for the World Cup Final in Vojens on Saturday and will wait to see who their opponents are. A few words from Jarek after the meeting: "This tournament was very successful for us. From the beginning we were able to control the meeting. We will not rest, we know we have to work hard and it will be even more difficult in Vojens. The other teams will try to improve but we are a strong unit.
